A multigenerational icon: USC students reflect on Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton’s legacy extends beyond music. Generation Z students at USC say they remember Parton through her LGBTQ+ advocacy and role on the early 2000s Disney Show, Hannah Montana. This morning, the Country Music Association announced a 2-hour tribute episode to honor Parton’s impact on the music industry. Students shared that they will miss the joy she exhibited through both her songs and community work.
