The USC Price School of Public Policy ranked in the top five places on a report about the best public affairs programs in the country. The U.S. News and World report, published April 7, marks Price’s 10th year placing in the national top five public affairs schools.
Price tied for fifth, sharing the spot with the University of Georgia, the University of Michigan and the University of Washington. The report looked at a field of 266 programs nationwide.
“We are honored that our peers continue to recognize the USC Price School as one of the nation’s best public affairs schools,” said Christopher Boone, dean of the USC Price School.
Along with its overall ranking, Price also received honors in some of its specialty programs. Urban Policy placed fourth in the nation, health policy placed fifth and homeland security placed eighth.
The rankings were based on assessments by deans, department chairs, directors and peer institutions.
“It’s thrilling to win this award because it amplifies our message of how evidence-informed planning can make our cities healthier, happier, more sustainable places to live,” Price associate professor Geoff Boeing said.
