A mutation of the flu virus, commonly known as swine flu, is primarily targeting the West Coast. CNN reported last week that the strain going around right now originated in Asia and has made its way to California. It’s the same strain as the 2009 swine flu epidemic, which caused about 12,000 deaths in the United States. USC students reflect on how they take action to stay safe during flu season.
