It is California Assembly Bill 32’s -- 20th birthday. This bill capped greenhouse gas emissions and targeted a reduction in total emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. California met and exceeded this goal. The 2016 Senate Bill 32 is now targeting emissions to be 40% below 1990 levels by 2030.
