A lawsuit filed against seven men from Cornell’s Chi Phi fraternity alleges that they assaulted a woman for seven hours while under the influence of alcohol and ketamine. Two of the seven men were expelled, while the other five were suspended and required to write essays and attend seminars as punishment for the alleged assault. The incident is not exclusive to Cornell. In September of 2021, there were multiple reports of sexual assault and drugging involving USC’s Sigma Nu fraternity.
