Despite the harsh sun on March 27, USC fans turned out to support the Trojans in their match against UCLA, at David X. Marks Tennis Stadium.

No.14 USC got off to a difficult start against No.17 UCLA, dropping the opening point in doubles play. The Trojans responded in singles, battling back to secure a 4-2 victory.

In doubles play, UCLA won two of the first three matches to take the early point. The Bruins extended their lead by claiming the opening singles match.

Midway through the contest, the Trojans were still battling to stay within reach, marking a turning point in the match.

In the latter stages, USC showed resilience, beginning with #50 Emma Charney’s 2-1 victory over #119 Bianca Fernandez.

#24 Jana Hossam took the second victories in the match by defecting #11 Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer.

With a third victory from freshman Dani Borruel, the momentum finally shifted towards USC, bringing the overall score to 3-2 as the match tightened.

At the final point, #114 Eugenia Zozaya delivered the clinching point for USC, lifting the Trojans to a 4-2 comeback over UCLA.
