Rolling Loud California announced its lineup at the beginning of January for its festival taking place next weekend, on March 15 and 16.
Tickets for the event went on sale shortly after the lineup was released, starting at $119. A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, and Peso Pluma are the three main headliners.
Pluma is the first Mexican and non-hip-hop artist to headline Rolling Loud California. Over the span of two days, there will be three stages and more than 75 other artists performing at the Hollywood Park grounds, adjacent to SoFi Stadium.

“He is going to make history as our first Mexican artist to headline our festival,” Tariq Cherif, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Rolling Loud told Billboard in an interview. Pluma is set to perform on the opening day of the festival, March 15.
“He’s a groundbreaking artist. He’s massively popular. So to me, it’s not surprising that he would headline a festival in LA alongside hip hop artists, like to me, it makes very much sense, right?” said Dr. Vanessa Diaz, Associate Professor of Chicana/o and Latina/o Studies at Loyola Marymount University. “The kind of music he draws on, and corridos, corridos tumbados, all of this is all grounded in, yes, of course, Mexican music influence, but also rap. So it makes perfect sense to me, but it also is really culturally significant right now, especially,” said Diaz.
Diaz believes Pluma’s music has been heavily influenced by hip-hop and rap, which makes him unique and a perfect fit for Rolling Loud California.
She plans on taking her students “to see this historically significant moment,” Diaz added,” I think we’re just going to keep seeing more of these really culturally significant moments for Latin music artists.”
Plumas ‘Ella Baila Sola’ song blew up in 2023 and his career began to soar since then. The young artist has gone on two concert tours, won a Grammy for Best Música Mexicana Album, and was ‘Honored as GQ Mexico/Latin America’s ‘Man of the Year’. He recently performed at the FireAid concert, as the only Latino, to help raise money for wildfire victims.

Pluma is making moves in all industries due to his popularity. Most importantly, he continues to influence the Latin music world.
“I remember showing my friends at the time when he [Peso Pluma] had like 22,000 views, like ‘this guy is gonna blow up’ and they were like, ‘no, he’s not,’” said Ivan Gallegos, a junior majoring in business administration with a minor in music production.
His rise to fame has inspired the Latine community with his unique genre of regional urban music. The artist exemplifies his success through the work of his corridos tumbados and sierreños. He’s also released songs that feature beats like reggaeton and trap. Pluma is a diverse artist who incorporates different genres of music and collaborates with well-known artists such as Cardi B, Becky G and Rich The Kid.
Rolling Loud’s Instagram page even featured a montage of the special guests that Peso Pluma brought out on his last tour. Famous artists in the music industry such as Offset, Ice Spice, Gunna, and Snoop Dogg all joined him on stage during his Exodo tour. The short Instagram reel ended with the words, ‘Who will he bring out at Rolling Loud LA?’ Due to his connections in the music world, fans are anticipating he will bring out special guests during his performance on night one of Rolling Loud California.
Another post on Rolling Loud’s page was a meme posted on Jan. 31, and it is Kevin Hart sarcastically, struggling trying to speak Spanish. The text on the video says, ‘Learning Spanish in less than two months for day 1 of Rolling Loud.’
Some of his fans are excited and proud that he will be the first Mexican to headline Rolling Loud California.
“Every time I play him, I always say I love being Mexican, and I feel like that’s truly how he makes me feel. I love being Mexican,” said Olivia Zepeda, a sophomore at UCLA majoring in political science and double-minoring in global studies and community engagement and social change.
Rolling Loud California states on their website, “A portion of proceeds from tickets will be donated to those directly impacted by the wildfires.” Tickets start at $119 for a GA single-day pass. For the two-day experience tickets are $199 for GA.
VIP tickets are also offered on their website with pricing information and perks for each specific type of ticket. They also have a ‘party now, pay later’ feature where customers can set up a payment plan instead of paying in full at once.
In addition, the festival offers immersive experiences such as carnival rides, art activations, food vendors, and more. Merchandise featuring the headliner’s names will also be available, including the RL LA 25 Black Lineup Tee which names the headliners and other performers for $40.
Tickets are still available for purchase on their website if you’d like to watch Peso Pluma make history.
