COVID-19 has taken more than 1 million lives

The World Health Organization reports that there have been over 1 million deaths from COVID-19 as of yesterday, Sept. 28.

As the COVID-19 death toll surpassed 1 million worldwide, health experts emphasized the need for citizens to follow public health guidelines to slow the transmission of the coronavirus. As temperatures cool down and the influenza season approaches, it is expected that the number of COVID-19 cases will rise, especially threatening the United States which has had over 200,000 COVID-19 deaths.
