As the COVID-19 death toll surpassed 1 million worldwide, health experts emphasized the need for citizens to follow public health guidelines to slow the transmission of the coronavirus. As temperatures cool down and the influenza season approaches, it is expected that the number of COVID-19 cases will rise, especially threatening the United States which has had over 200,000 COVID-19 deaths.
