The Dimelo Team went and covered NALIP’s annual Latino Media Fest at the AMC in Century City. The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) is a nonprofit that recognizes the need of Latinx creators in the industry and addresses that issue by discovering, promoting, and inspiring creators across all platforms. Their mission is to make Latinx voices and ideas heard and seen in an industry where, according to the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, only 4% of 1,200 top-grossing films from 2018 were directed by Latinx.
The Latino Media Fest is a prominent event that showcases diverse and influential U.S. based talent such as content creators and filmmakers. Here are some photos from the event hosted on October 4th, 2019.
