Eminent Washington journalist Cokie Roberts passed away on Tuesday.
She served as the political reporter and analyst for NPR and ABC News. Roberts was perceived as an exemplary figure to many women in television and radio news.
Her prowess in the field of journalism won her a spot in the list of the 50 greatest women in the history of broadcasting. “She brought her full self to the job in an era where you didn’t really do that,” says Annenberg Dean Willow Bay who was Roberts’ former colleague at ABC.
