A lone gray wolf makes a rare return to L.A. county
In a rare wildlife moment in Southern California, the first gray wolf seen in Los Angeles County in nearly a century was spotted this weekend. The female wolf, known as BEY03F, was born in Northern California in 2023 and has traveled more than 500 miles south in search of a mate. Gray wolves are native to California but were nearly wiped out in the early 20th century.
