Born and raised in San Francisco's Mission District, Gian Marco Velásquez hopes to be a voice for his people as a bilingual reporter. A proud Salvadorian and a first generation student, he works to amplify the stories of the Latino community covering immigration, the justice system, city courts, and local politics.
