About this data

The candidates shown are the two finalists certified by the California Secretary of State for the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. The districts on this website follow the map established by Proposition 50.

The data shown on this website was last updated on Oct. 26, 2026. It comes from reports filed with the Federal Election Commission. Donations made through ActBlue and WinRed are counted only once, and 24- and 48-hour notices of outside spending are not double-counted when they are included in later full reports.

I collected and reported all the data for this site. I used a Python script to query and collect campaign data for each district’s race, then built and cleaned a dataset.

The website was developed and designed in collaboration with the Annenberg Media web development team, which helped bring the data and reporting to life in an accessible, interactive format.

Reporting and data: Jackson Mills. Web development: Kushal Bhanot, Annenberg Media web team.
