Following Friday night’s win over No. 16 Oregon (36-15; 18-10), as well as Purdue’s (35-16; 18-10) loss, the No. 17 USC Trojans (42-12; 20-8) secured a top-four spot in the Big Ten Tournament. As a result, the Trojans received a bye for the first round of the tournament, which is set to begin on Tuesday, May 19.

“We are very pleased to secure a top four spot in the Big Ten Tournament,” head coach Andy Stankiewicz said in a statement to Annenberg Media. “We can’t get complacent, though, we still have plenty of work to do this weekend against Oregon. Every game matters as we look to improve not only our Big Ten standing, but our chances of hosting an NCAA Regional at Dedeaux Field.”

In the Big Ten Tournament, teams seeded fifth through 12th compete in a double-elimination round. Four teams will qualify for the second, single elimination round, which begins on Friday, May 22. The Big Ten Tournament concludes on Sunday, May 24.

All games in the Big Ten Tournament are played at the Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.
