For the first time since 1993, Lebanon and Israel are undergoing high-level diplomatic talks to negotiate the disarmament of Hezbollah and the prospect of peace. Complicating these talks is tension within the Lebanese state at the prospect of recognizing Israel, and the difficulty of taking arms away from a well-armed organization.
