INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Darius Garland finally had a chance to show his talents off at Intuit Dome on Wednesday night, with 12 points off the bench.
The Clippers destroyed the Pacers, 130-107, but LA’s rookie center, Yanic Konan Niederhauser, went down with what appeared to be a serious injury. The Penn State product, who had been seeing increased minutes thanks to career-best numbers in February, left the game early after hurting his right foot and never returned.
The team announced he wouldn’t travel to San Antonio or Memphis for the Clippers’ next two games.
Against Indiana, the Clippers started strong and never looked back. LA led by 17 points at the end of the first quarter. Despite 29 points from Pascal Siakam and an efficient shooting night as a team, the Pacers couldn’t keep pace with Kawhi Leonard’s 29 points and the Clippers’ 55% shooting night.
Former Clippers, now Pacers, Ivica Zubac and Kobe Brown, received tributes from the Clippers at Intuit Dome.
Reporter Kasey Kazliner covered the Clippers’ win and broke it down on Unclipped, TOT’s Clippers podcast. Listen below!
