Afro-Latin beats get USC on their feet

The Afro-Latin American Jazz Ensemble — better known as ALAJE — brought salsa, merengue and Afro-Cuban rhythms to life at USC’s Carson TV Center. Led by Professor Aarón Serfaty, the student band had the crowd dancing in the aisles — and they’re set to do it again Friday night.
