The aftermath of the Eaton fire

A little over a year after the most devastating series of fires in Los Angeles County history, more is being revealed about how the Eaton fire disproportionately affected Altadena’s Black community. A combination of poor organizational practices on the county level, along with years of segregation and redlining, led to nearly half of Altadena’s Black community either seeing their homes get damaged or destroyed.
