Tonight, the Charlotta Bass Journalism and Justice Lab is awarding Issa Rae with their Media Trailblazer award. Rae, an Emmy-nominated producer, actress, and entrepreneur, has redefined the media landscape. She amplifies and empowers Black voices. Rae is the fifth recipient of USC’s Bass Lab award.
