Following the fatal shooting of a National Guard member in D.C., the Trump administration is tightening immigration rules. Asylum cases are on hold, Afghan visa processing has stopped, and green cards from 19 “countries of concern” are under review. Policy experts say, the restrictions are politically motivated and will endanger Afghans fleeing Taliban persecution.
