LOS ANGELES —- For 40 minutes against the Ottawa Senators, the Los Angeles Kings looked like their usual selves: disconnected, sluggish on power plays and too reliant on Darcy Kuemper.

But in the third period, LA woke up. It started with Warren Foegele — who is trying to live up to the bar he set in 2024-25 with a career-high 24 goals — scoring five-and-a-half minutes into the frame to break the deadlock.

Fabian Zetterlund tied it up for the Senators shortly after, but LA responded to retake the lead. After weeks of chatter surrounding the power-play woes and offensive struggles, the Kings finally cashed in on special teams. Brandt Clarke — on the second power-play unit — one-timed the game-winner to make it 2-1.

Snapping a three-game losing streak, LA will head to Anaheim on Friday to face the rival Ducks next. Talk of Troy reporter Kasey Kazliner attended the game and broke down the Kings’ win on Skate of Thrones, TOT’s Kings podcast.
