Hemp ban sparks concern among growers and dispensaries

The multi-billion dollar hemp industry may no longer be buds with the federal government.

Last week, Congress ended the government shutdown with a new federal spending bill that was signed into law by President Trump. Rolled into the bill was a provision that will effectively ban most hemp-derived THC products. The goal: to close a loophole left in the 2018 Farm Bill that allows hemp products with THC to be sold.
