USC is one of nine universities offered Trump’s ‘compact’

The compact allows USC to receive priority federal funding if it complies with a list of ideological demands.

On Friday, the Trump administration offered USC and 8 other universities a, “Compact for Academic Excellence.” The government is offering these schools federal funding in exchange for adopting more conservative policies, along with tight restrictions on international admissions, tuition, hiring and more. This comes as USC makes cuts to address an over $200 million budget gap. Will USC accept the deal?
