Legacy admissions to continue at USC

A year ago Gov. Newsom signed legislation to ban legacy admissions, but there are loopholes.

Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill that prohibits legacy admissions for private, nonprofit institutions. That bill, AB 1780, went into effect this month. USC is one of those private institutions -- but President Kim isn’t too worried.
