Coachella came in hot this weekend, literally. Temperatures soared to highs of 100 degrees as people partied under the desert sun.

Charli XCX brought out guests including Lorde and Troy Sivan, and she played “Guess” with Billie Eilish.

High-energy Lady Gaga stole the show with fans and attendees going gaga for Gaga as she sang her big hits like “Bad Romance” and songs from her latest album.

Of course, Gaga dressed up in her iconic over-the-top style. She wore outfits featuring feathers and bird hands, and a red Victorian-gothic look.

A last-minute addition in week one was Weezer. They filled in for FKA Twigs days after a police incident with the wife of the bassist in Weezer’s band.

Another artist who will fill in this coming weekend is Ed Sheeran. He’s not expected to perform his upcoming album “Play,” but is scheduled to play his newest hit single, “Azizam.”

The crowd went crazy when Sen. Bernie Sanders, fresh from his rally in downtown L.A., took the stage to introduce Clairo.

His speech was viewed by hundreds of young voters live at the festival, and reached many more via online posts that have been spreading rapidly.

A recurring complaint about Coachella is that drinks cost too much.

“I saw an article Complex did saying the prices are out of control,” said TikTok Influencer Joshua Crawford. “The cocktails have stayed the same price for the last three or four years. The majority of the food, like it is still expensive, don’t get me wrong, it’s still expensive, but they haven’t been increasing the prices.”

Fans are looking forward to seeing what’s in store for next weekend’s festival, excited for performances from on-the-rise artists like Benson Boone and beabadoobee.
