An elderly Vietnamese couple immigrated to the U.S. in 2006. For the past 18 years, they have been separated from their children and grandchildren.

After the Vietnam War, nearly 2 million Vietnamese refugees immigrated to the United States, leaving their loved ones behind. In the early 2000s, a Reunification program allowed these immigrants to sponsor their family members to live and work in the U.S.

However, Dang and Sen, an elderly couple who immigrated to the U.S. in 2006, have yet to reunite with their children and grandchildren. This story relates how Dang and Sen overcame their cultural barriers and personal struggles with the help of their community.
