Updated July 16 to reflect changes announced on July 11 regarding the USC-UCLA game, now taking place at the LA Memorial Coliseum.
Fans of USC women’s soccer will be cheering on the Trojans off campus for the majority of the season this year.
The Trojans will play most of their home games at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. The lone two home games away from Dignity Health are in October, when USC will host Ohio State and UCLA at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. In addition, all six of USC’s non-conference games this season will be on the road. The Trojans open their 2024 campaign at New Mexico State on August 15 in Las Cruces. Last year, the Trojans beat the Aggies 3-0 at Soni McAlister Field.
USC follows its season opener against the Aggies with non-conference games at Cal Baptist, Pepperdine, Portland and San Francisco. The Trojans’ final non-conference match before starting Big Ten play is on the road against fellow former Pac-12 member Stanford on September 8 in Palo Alto. Last season, the Trojans played the Cardinal to a 0-0 draw at McAlister Field. Stanford is now a member of the ACC, having accepted an invitation to the East Coast-based conference last fall.
In its inaugural season in the Big Ten, USC will play 11 of the other 17 conference members, including incoming members UCLA, Oregon and Washington, who are all joining from the Pac-12 alongside USC. Last year, USC beat Washington 3-0 in Seattle, won 3-0 against Oregon at McAlister Field and lost 4-2 to UCLA in Westwood.
USC opens Big Ten play on the road against Washington on September 13. The following week the Trojans travel to West Lafayette to take on Purdue — who lost to USC 4-0 this past season — before traveling to Bloomington to face Indiana. USC then returns home to host Minnesota and Wisconsin in the last week of September at Dignity Health before hosting Oregon on either October 5 or 6 in Carson.
After hosting the Ducks, USC then has its final two away games of the regular season. The Trojans travel to Urbana-Champaign for a date against Illinois on October 10 before facing Northwestern in Evanston on October 13. The Trojans return home to face Ohio State at the Coliseum before closing out the regular season against Penn State on October 20 in Carson and crosstown rival UCLA on October 27 at the Coliseum.
The date for the game against Oregon will be finalized upon TV selections by the Big Ten media partners.
Should USC be one of the teams with the most points in conference play, they will be invited to the Big Ten Tournament, which takes place from October 31 to November 10. The Big Ten Conference has not yet released the details of how many teams will participate, what the format is or where the tournament will take place.
Last season, USC went 11-5-3 overall and finished third in the Pac-12 with a record of 6-2-3. The Trojans advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament — their tenth consecutive NCAA appearance — where they lost to BYU 1-0 in Provo after defeating Grand Canyon in a first round, 1-0 shutout win.
With Rawlinson Stadium expected to be completed in the spring of 2025, USC should not be displaced from its normal home for long. Construction started at the beginning of the 2024 spring semester, and when completed, the stadium will be able to seat 2,500 fans, more than doubling the previous capacity of 1,000 that McAlister was able to hold.
The Trojans kick off their first Big Ten campaign on the road against New Mexico State in Las Cruces on August 15, where they will look to keep their NCAA streak alive and be competitive in their new conference.
