After being sidelined for months due to an injury, Mercedes Moné made her highly anticipated return to wrestling. This time, the star was not in WWE or New Japan, but in AEW.

Formerly known as Sasha Banks, the superstar debuted with fresh theme music, but the same charisma fans know and love. She cut a promo and made a few more appearances throughout the night during AEW’s Big Business event. While Moné might have stolen the show, there were still some incredible matches throughout the night.

Let’s take a look at some of the best matches from AEW this week.

Kazuchika Okada, Matt and Nick Jackson (The Elite) vs. PAC, Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo (AEW Big Business, March 13)

Penta was the biggest spark for his team during this match. In typical fashion, he was flying off the top rope and moving at crazy speeds, delivering sling blades and superkicks. Then PAC joined in with his own impressive offensive — a dive outside, 450 splash and devastating suplexes. Once Eddie Kingston came back in, it seemed the Elite were fully targeting and triple-teaming him. Nick Jackson from the Young Bucks kicked Kingston with a low blow, which set him up perfectly for Kazuchika Okada to hit his finisher, the rainmaker, for the Elite victory.

Jay White vs. Darby Allin (AEW Big Business, March 13)

With Darby Allin covered in athletic tape due to a recent match, Jay White targeted Allin’s injuries the entire match. Sinister chops to Allin’s chest and back became White’s MO. Both competitors continuously countered each other’s moves as well. When Allin would gain a bit of momentum, White would just go back to a power move that targeted Allin’s back. Toward the end of the match, Allin attempted a coffin drop on White on the side of the ring apron. Unfortunately, White moved out of the way, and Allin bumped his head and landed outside the ring. He beat the 10 count back inside the ring, but White was ready waiting for him. In the closing moments, White hit his finisher blade runner to defeat Allin. Allin was attacked after the match with a steel chair around his ankle and White hitting it with a baseball bat. It was revealed later on that he suffered a broken foot.

It’s very exciting to see AEW continue to have amazing matches. And now, with the debut of Moné, it’ll be great to see how she fits into AEW’s women’s division and storylines.
