INDIANAPOLIS — Florida State defensive tackle Braden Fiske clocked a 4.78 unofficial 40-yard dash Thursday at the NFL Combine, leading this year’s defensive tackle group.

Fiske, a fifth-year senior who transferred to FSU from Western Michigan last season, recorded 43 total tackles in 2023, including 17 solo takedowns and six sacks. His breakout performance was the last of his college career—against Louisville in the ACC Championship, he recorded nine tackles with three sacks to help the Seminoles to a defensively-dominant 16-6 victory.

Fiske’s 33.50″ vertical jump also led the DT group. Only three other defensive tackles ran sub-4.9 40-yard dash times: LSU’s Mekhi Wingo at 4.85, Texas’ Byron Murphy II at 4.87 and Clemson’s Ruke Orhorhoro at 4.89.
