California State University student assistants voted to unionize on Friday. This makes the California State University Employees Union the largest undergraduate student union in the United States. The union demands benefits such as better pay and sick time. The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear a landmark case about the intersection of social media and free speech. And following the wave of Hollywood strikes, USC School of Cinematic Arts adjunct professors also voted to unionize, joining the United Auto Workers in an effort to secure higher wages and job security.
