The legendary artist Usher performed the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. The performance was filled with non-stop choreography, outfit changes, special guests and all the Usher essentials.
After 100 sold-out shows through his Vegas Residency, Usher performed his 101st show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. This halftime show was longer than most shows, from 12 to 13 minutes (every second counts for these performances.)
The singer came out wearing an all-white Dolce and Gabbana ensemble. Opening the show with “Caught up.” The stage was filled with typical Vegas circus performers and break dancers, with one group even launching a dancer across the field. He followed that into an array of his hit songs over his 30-year career including, “Love in this Club,” “Burn,” “You Got It Bad” and more.
Usher recently released his ninth studio album, “Coming Home.” However, no new songs were featured during his performance.
He shared the stage with numerous guest performances. Alicia Keys had her moment playing “If I Ain’t Got You” on a red piano, then Usher joined her in performing their duet, “My Boo.” H.E.R. also joined the stage playing an electric guitar.
For “OMG,” Usher changed into a glittery blue and black outfit, but the most shocking part of his outfit were the rollerblades he sported. He joined his backup performers with an intricate routine all performed on wheels, and Usher didn’t miss a beat.
Other musical guest performances were from Lil Jon performing his hit song “Turn Down For What.” Will.i.am joined Usher in singing “OMG” and Ludacris sang his part in “Yeah!,” which was his closing song.
To end the performance, the Jackson State University marching band made an appearance, spelling the “Usher” on the field.
