For the first time ever, Rolling Loud California 2023 will be taking place in Inglewood at Hollywood Park, located adjacent to the So-Fi Stadium. No festival has ever taken place at Hollywood Park, and Rolling Loud will be the first on March 3rd, 2023.

This year’s headliners for the Festival include rappers Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Future, and Lil Wayne.

The festival will take place from March 3rd-5th next year. An LA Metro Spokesman, Patrick Chandler, believes the new K-Line will provide support for festival-goers.

Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif are the co-founders and co-CEOs of Rolling Loud. In a press release sent to Annenberg Media, they stated

“Rolling Loud is deeply honored to be the first-ever music festival to take place at the incredible Hollywood Park…We’re pumped to return to L.A…celebrating the undeniable influence of the West Coast on hip-hop and featuring some of the hottest rappers in the game.”

Although some Angelenos are upset at the lack of LA artists in the roster, DJ Crash D of Trap LA, an online rap music publication, sees the festival coming to Inglewood as an opportunity.

DJ Crash D: I think this is big given the spotlight on…the development that they’re doing out there. And is this going to bring jobs like security jobs and…concession jobs to people in the area who really need it?...So…let’s take advantage of it.

Lou Rochdi, a Tour Manager who worked on Coachella 2022, says that the move from San Bernardino to Inglewood will be environmentally beneficial.

Rochdi: The city is way better for the environment just because like what we we talk a lot about like, oh, the plastic water bottles and all of that, which is important. But it’s just not only that having it is the most like CO2 emission generator is the people in the fence coming in with their individual cars to Indio, because how…are you getting to Indio, if not with your car.

KC Mancebo works in live music in Inglewood, and hopes the festival brings business to Inglewood.

Mancebo: I think it kind of, you know, it could impact the city of Inglewood positively if people do engage and support the local businesses that are there with restaurants, etc.

Rolling Loud California will take place in our very own backyard this year, so make sure to check it out, and support the city of Inglewood while you’re at it.
