Following the release of her record-breaking 10th studio album “Midnights,” Taylor Swift announced the U.S. portion of the “Eras” tour on Tuesday morning. The tour will begin in March of 2023 and it includes 27 dates spanning 20 cities. Since wrapping up her last world tour, the Reputation Stadium Tour, Swift has released four brand new albums and two re-recordings of previous albums. With four more re-recordings on the way and her latest album that chronicles “13 sleepless nights scattered throughout [her] life,” it’s only fitting that Swift chose to focus on her long and illustrious career as a whole for her first tour in five years.

From nostalgic fans missing the Taylor Swift eras they grew up with, to more recent Swifties wanting to experience the magic of her live performances, the “Eras” tour is expected to be Swift’s most successful to date. If “Midnights” occupying all of Billboard’s Top 10 is any indication of Swift’s fame and success, tickets for the “Eras” tour are sure to sell out fast.

Tickets will be available for presale November 15 on Ticketmaster and to the general public starting November 18. Here’s how you can get the chance to nab the coveted tickets and some tips on navigating the ticket-buying process.

Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan Program

To get access to the presale that opens November 15, you have to register by November 9 for Ticketmaster’s verified fan program. During this registration you will be able to choose three potential dates for shows. Once you are registered, you will receive a confirmation email and then you (unfortunately) have to wait until November 14. On November 14, you will get an email announcing if you have been selected to be in the first round of ticket sales and an access code will be sent to your phone number. If you’re lucky enough to be chosen, you will have the opportunity to purchase tickets Tuesday, November 15 at 10 a.m. local venue time.

Capital One Pre Sale

If you have any Capital One credit or debit card, you are eligible for this presale. The Capital One presale will start at 2 p.m. local venue time on November 15. All you have to do is use the first six digits of your card as the access code and a Capital One Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card to purchase the tickets.

Tips and Tricks for Getting Tickets

Enlist the help of friends or family members to sign up for presale, as this will boost your chances of actually receiving the presale code.

Make sure you have your credit card information already uploaded into Ticketmaster to expedite checkout when purchasing tickets.

Try to purchase tickets on a computer and use a fast, reliable and private Wi-Fi network, if possible.

Get on the website around 30 minutes before tickets are released. Don’t wait until a few minutes before, since Ticketmaster regularly crashes for popular ticket releases like this, and you may miss your chance.

Only use one device per Ticketmaster account. Don’t try to get in through your phone, computer and tablet, as Ticketmaster could view this as suspicious activity and flag you as a bot. If you have multiple presale codes from different Ticketmaster accounts, use a different device for each account.

Once you have passed the queue and are looking at the tickets, be prepared to be quick. If tickets or sections you wanted appear to be sold out already, simply refresh the page because Ticketmaster often only releases small batches of tickets at a time. And, of course, remember that no seat is a bad seat.

Tickets are sure to sell out fast, as accessing the presale has already caused major crashes on Ticketmaster, but these methods and tips will give Swifties the best opportunity to spend a “Midnight” with the singer.
