This year, our Día de los Muertos special edition theme is “Estrellas Que Dejaron Su Brillo,” which translates to “Stars Who Left Their Shine.” With our theme, we honor bright souls who have left a significant impact on the Latinx community. We also celebrate their achievements, sacrifices, and the hard work that they have accomplished so that future generations can prosper and succeed. In addition, one of the main traditions of celebrating Día de los Muertos is to construct an altar where all the ofrenda essentials are placed prior to the arrival of the deceased. Alongside the physical altar located in the Annenberg Media Center, the Dímelo and Interactives teams have also created a digital version filled with heartfelt memories and quotes from our loved ones.
