Grab your rose-colored glasses, hop into your 2019 time machine, and imagine you’re scrolling through instagram. If you were to see the word “coronacation,” in your feed, chances are it’s the centerpiece of an ad campaign for alcoholic beverages, spring break, or both. Simpler times, right?

But that word, “coronacation,” is going viral right now for a new reason – and it’s serving us a more fatalistic take on the pandemic-mandated vacations from school, work, and life as we know it.
