Throughout newsroom history, the ratio of women to men in leadership positions has been imbalanced. A study by the International Women’s Media Foundation discovered that men hold 73 percent of management positions. On this episode, Sadie Olson interviewed Kristin Gilger, the Senior Associate Dean at Arizona State University’s Cronkite School, and Variety reporter Audrey Cleo Yap to discuss their experiences with being female in a newsroom.
