Built in 1931, Doheny Memorial Library sits right in the heart of campus and even plays backdrop to commencement every year. But do you know about the man it's named after? Like a lot of other buildings throughout the rest of Los Angeles, it's named after wealthy oil tycoon and businessman Edward L. Doheny Jr. who was murdered in 1929.
