National Signing Day Commit: Solomon Tuliaupupu

Four-star linebacker recruit out of Mater Dei announces his commitment to USC.

This morning, four-star linebacker recruit, Solomon Tuliaupupu, announced his official commitment to USC during National Signing Day. 

Tuliaupupu is from Santa Ana, CA and attends Mater Dei High School. In his 2017 high school season, he had a total of 63 tackles, and had 12 tackles for loss. According to 247Sports, Tuliaupupu is a top-four inside linebacker recruit in the class of 2018.  The recruiting site also ranked him as a four star recruit, meaning he is a top 300 player in the nation and is expected to be an impact player for his team.

The USA Today National Defensive Player of the Year and Butkus Award winner joins 15-0 state championship Mater Dei teammates JT Daniels and Amon-Ra St. Brown in USC's newest class.

The inside linebacker visited USC on January 26, 2018 and was recruited by linebackers coach Johnny Nansen.

The current starting USC junior inside linebacker Cameron Smith, has had a total of 161 tackles, and 7 deflections. Solomon Tuliaupupu will have some great players to help him with this transition.
