Jack Jones is a 5-foot 11-inch cornerback from local area high school Long Beach Poly–the same high school that USC wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster attended.

Jones is rated as a 5-star cornerback according to 247sports.com. Also rated as the No. 22 recruit in the country by 247sports, Jones could be seeing time on both sides of the ball.

The All-American cornerback had 23 tackles and one interception on defense this year, but posted a career season on the offensive side of the ball with 837 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.

While Jones was considering Alabama and Texas A&M, the expectation was that Jones would indeed be signing with the Trojans come Signing Day. The result and commitment can be credited to the pull USC has with Long Beach Poly and the proximity that USC has to Jones' home.

Throughout his career, Jones has shown exceptional speed and posted a 4.28 shuttle run in many recruiting combines. Expect Jones to play a similar role as Adoree' Jackson but more so on the offensive side of the ball, seeing that USC has a young core in the secondary group already.

Jones' speed can give the Trojans the ability to be flexible and dynamic, allowing them to attempt similar plays to those that they tried this season with Jackson. From running jet sweeps around the corner, to designed screens, USC among will able to utilize Jone's quick speed on the edge. In Jones, USC has signed another talented, dynamic Long Beach Poly player, allowing them to boast once again that they possess one of the best two-way talents in the entire country.
