As part of a three-year savings plan, Macy’s announced Tuesday it would be tightening up their teams and closing down stores to lower costs and bring teams closer together. The store closings come after 2019, the biggest year for store closings to date. Over 9,300 stores closed throughout the 12 months, including companies Forever 21 and Gap.
