Indigenous charter school succeeds in remaining open

Los Angeles' only indigenous charter renewal was voted on by LAUSD Board Members today. Though the charter was originally at risk of denial, the  L.A Superintendent of Schools issued a recommendation to approve its renewal several days before the vote, citing improving standards of education. The school has embarked on a campaign for several months to draw attention to their cause and emphasize the importance of indigenous education.
