LA Housing Initiative Could Stall Development for Two Years

The Neighborhood Integrity Initiative aims to reset construction laws to free up more affordable housing

A new initiative, slated to be on the ballot come March, could freeze development in Los Angeles for two years. The Neighborhood Integrity Initiative would serve as a reset button on large projects, but some say it could ultimately hurt the economy and make housing even more expensive. Early polls indicate that only 37% of prospective voters plan to approve the measure.
