Visiting TiGeorges' Chicken in Echo Park is a cultural and culinary experience. For more than a decade, the restaurant's beloved owner and namesake, TiGoerges Laguerre, has been serving succulent rotisserie chicken with a side of stories from his homeland. Now, with the help of his longtime friend and author Jeremy Rosenberg, Laguerre has compiled his stories into a memoir. The book, entitled No Man Is An Island, is a vibrant and gripping tale about Laguerre's journey from Port-de-Paix, Haiti to Los Angeles.
