After offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker was drafted yesterday in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, six more Trojans wait to hear their name called. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and defensive lineman Jay Tufele are expected to be Day 2 picks, and defensive lineman Marlon Tuipulotu and safety Talanoa Hufanga could also be selected. This page will update throughout the night with any Trojan selections and other USC-related news.
No Trojans were selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. This was not unexpected, as both St. Brown and Tufele were graded as second- to third-round prospects. With a streak of pass catchers being selected late in the second round and 10 receivers selected so far, it is likely that St. Brown will hear his name called in the third round.
USC had no players selected on Day 2, with St. Brown and Tufele falling into Day 3 of the draft. It is the first time since 2015 that USC lacked a Day 2 selection.
Day 3 of the NFL Draft should be the best day for USC. With Hufanga and Tuipulotu likely Day 3 picks along with St. Brown and Tufele, the Trojans are expected to have at least four picks on Saturday. Wide receiver Tyler Vaughns and cornerback Olaijah Griffin could also potentially be taken late in the draft.
