After heavy rainfall and problems with the Oroville Dam forced many nearby residents to evacuate, they were finally starting to return home Wednesday. Some residents said they would remember how their community rallied behind them and offered support while they were away from their homes. Children, unable to attend school, shared their reactions to the situation and kept busy by playing games and making arts and crafts.
While residents are glad to return home, the area is expecting more rainfall later in the week. To avoid a similar situation, crews are rapidly trying to repair problems with the dam ahead of more severe weather.
