The Dímelo Team wishes you luck on all of your midterms. But if you feel like you need a mental break, there are a number of virtual activities and events to help you connect and engage with other students during a time where Trojans can’t be on campus.
When: Friday, October 2 @ 2:30pm to 3:30pm
This virtual event is a part of Latinx Heritage Month and will create a discussion about how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted people of color in L.A. County, how society can rethink its current systems and gather solutions for a more inclusive future. Manuel Pastor from the USC Dornsife Equity Research Institute will present his findings from the report that was released in Sept. 2020. Maria Aranda from the USC Suzanne-Dworak Peck School of Social Work will provide commentary during the event, which will be moderated by Billy Vela, the Center Director for La CASA.
When: Friday, October 9 @ 12:00pm to 1:30pm
La CASA’s upcoming virtual event will feature special guest Dr. Chris Zepeda and create an informal opportunity for the USC Latinx community and friends to come together to connect and empower one another.
