A new survey poll indicates that 95% of L.A. voters view homelessness as the most serious issue faced by the city. The increased presence of homeless individuals around the city has led to an increased awareness of the crisis among locals and a greater demand for change from policymakers like Major Eric Garcetti. Annenberg Media’s Evan Falstrup spoke with the president of the company that commissioned the poll as well as local shelter staff and residents in Skid Row to discuss the homelessness crisis and what changes people have noticed in recent years.
