The 2019 American Music Awards (AMA) will air live on Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with singer Ciara hosting. Only a few Latinx artists are in the running for an AMA, but they have the potential to make a statement at the awards show.
The red carpet has been rolled out and is ready to go. The AMAs released this video on Instagram to get fans excited.
Artist Camila Cabello, whose 2019 album Romance drops in December, is among the performance list Saturday evening. She has yet to announce which song she will perform, but it could be one of the promotional singles from the album she released earlier last month - Easy (performed on SNL) and Cry for Me.
Cardi B is nominated for Favorite Artist: Rap/Hip-Hop (which she won at the 2018 AMAs) against Drake and Post Malone. Should Cardi win, it will be the fourth AMA for the artist who dropped Invasion of Privacy this past year and is set to release another album (Tiger Woods) in 2020.
The I Like It singer performed last year at the AMAs alongside Bad Bunny and J Balvin, who are also up for their own awards on Saturday in the Favorite Artist - Latin category. Ozuna joins the two in this nomination.
Ozuna released Aura with features from Cardi B and J Balvin. Ozuna is set to release another album Nibiru before the end of the year.
Tune in this Sunday night at 5 p.m. (PT) on ABC to see who takes home the win! And, while you’re waiting, enjoy listening to Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, J Balvin and other nominated artists’ music.
