During the last months, journalists, activists, and advocacy group leaders have been interrogated by Border Patrol officers. The questions are focused on their job done at the border and more information about shelters. All of them have worked closely with migrants in Tijuana, who are currently seeking asylum in the United States. Even though some of them have declined to show their electronic devices, this could be a risk for sources who they are working with at the border.
